The Gainesville Woman’s Clubhouse located at 2809 West University Avenue was built in 1961, sits on five acres, and has been a Gainesville landmark and a community treasure. In 2021, the Clubhouse was designated by the State of Florida as a State Historical Site. 

This charming property is one of the most unique places to hold a diverse range of events in Gainesville. A covered brick-paved patio greets you at the building’s front entrance. Just inside the front entry you will find a ballroom area including a raised stage complete with lighting and sound system.  A baby grand piano is also available.  The event floor seats up to 300 guests in a theater setting or 200 guests at tables in a dinner setting.  High-speed internet access and an enhanced wireless sound system are available. A large parking area is available steps from the covered ballroom back entrance.

There is a full-sized professional kitchen including frig, freezer, warming oven and ice machine.  Guests are welcome to serve their own dishes or choose the caterer of their choice for their event.

All of this within short walking distance of the University of Florida campus.

Pricing

  • Ballroom - $350 per hour for 150 guests, additional $50 per hour per each additional fifty guests; includes use of chairs, tables, and event steward​

  • Kitchen - $150 per hour

  • 20th Century Room - $50 per hour

  • Board Room - $75 per hour

  • A $400 refundable security deposit is required to reserve your date; non-refundable if should you cancel

  • Full payment is due 30 days prior to your event.

  • Event Insurance with a 1-million-dollar rider is required.

  • Alcohol service is allowed with a licensed bartender.

  • A non-profit rate is available on a limited basis for organizations with 501(c)(3) status
